So, getting back to the
point of education system,
All the medical
universities in Ukraine follow the Bologna Process, which involves a number of
agreements and treaties as put together by European countries to create a
unified and standard European Higher Education System.
The main aim of
accepting this process was to maintain a parity in the education system in
Ukraine with the rest of Europe.
The Universities in
Ukraine also follow ECTS, which is short for European Credit Transfer System
which essentially means that a university can transfer a student’s credit point
to another university in Europe and prevent a year loss because of the equality
of standard of education between the two as granted by the Bologna process.
This all may seem a bit
complicated for you all to understand, but it is important that you should know
all the aspect of education of this country and how to follow them.
The Medical Schools here
follow a 6 years curriculum and at the end of it you shall be awarded with MD
(Doctor of Medicine) degree. This degree is equivalent to MBBS degree in India
and is accepted all over the world.
A student may appear
for USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Examination) (applicable for all students)
PLAB (Professional and
Linguistic Assessment Board Test, for students wanting to practice in United
Kingdom (UK) (applicable for all students)
